Hi, I’m Madison

Madison Taylor is an emerging artist from Midwestern State University having just earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts and a minor in Nonprofit Management. She was the President of the Eta Epsilon chapter of Kappa Pi for 2023-2024 at Midwestern State. While also holding a Museum Board position for 2023-2024 as the student representative at the Wichita Falls Museum of Art. She currently has award work for 2023-2024 at the Airport in Wichita Falls, Texas. She has helped curate the Design\Re-Design Show in the Foyer gallery at Midwestern State University in November of 2023. She recently participated in the Annual Student Juried Show, judged by Brynn Higgins-Stirrup in January of 2024. Her artwork appears in graphic design or painting mediums, with the occasional ceramic work. 

Annual Student Juried Show

The 2024 Annual Student Juried Show will be judged by Brynn Higgins-Stirrup. The show can be seen in the Juanita Harvey Art Gallery in the Juanita and Ralph Harvey School of Visual Arts in the Fain Fine Arts Building. The exhibition will be on display from January 24th to February 13th at 5:00 pm. There will be a reception held on January 24th from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

Kappa Pi Show

The Eta Epsilon chapter of Kappa Pi will have a show displayed in the P.I.T. gallery in the Fain Fine Arts Building. This show will be a collection of student’s collegiate work throughout their time at Midwestern State University. The exhibition will be on view from October 4th to November 11th at 5:00 pm. There will be a reception in the Juanita Harvey Art Gallery on October 4th from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

Senior Show

Madison Taylor will have her senior exhibition in the Juanita Harvey Art Gallery in the Juanita and Ralph Harvey School of Visual Arts in the Fain Fine Arts Building. The exhibition will be on view from November 14th through December 20th at 5:00 pm. A presentation will be held in C111 on December 12th starting at 5:30 pm. There will be a reception in the gallery on Friday, December 13th from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. 

The senior exhibition is the capstone of the artist's collegiate work and includes oil on canvas and terracotta vessels. Her show will be about her daily struggles with ADHD and giving an insight into the world behind closed doors.
